Brian Crider's Collection
Carvin BBS ID: jazzrat

Here's another nice collection, that is made up of both basses and guitars, which came straight from Carvin, eBay, and another Carvin player.  Very nice!

First up is Brian's 2004 Contour 66, which was purchased from the Guitars-In-Stock section of  It's finished in Traditional Sunburst on quilted maple. It's constructed from with an alder body, maple neck and ebony fretboard with abalone dots. Other features include a Floyd Rose trem and Sperzel locking tuners.  Electronics consist of C22B and C22N pickups.

Next is Brian's 2004 TL60-FA, which was formerly owned by Tim Gray.  It's finished in Vintage Yellow over quilt maple with a clear mahogany body and two-piece neck with ebony fingerboard and abalone block inlays. Other amenities include a flat top (no arm contour), tortoise shell binding, chrome hardware and Sperzel locking tuners.  Electronics consist of M22SD and C22N pickups, with active electronics and Fishman acoustic bridge.

Last is Brian's 2000 LB75 bass.  It has the 5MW neck with ebony fretboard and Koa wings, H50N pickup and black hardware.  Brian says:

"This one has a nice story. I bought it off eBay. Turns out the truss rod is maxed out. I wound up breaking it so am stuck with it.  Albert at Carvin offered to rebuild it for me using the original hardware. I had no leg to stand on since it was non-warranty but he cut me a decent price. I requested a darker shade of Koa since the original was gold and had no grain. As you can see it now has beautifully figured Koa. Way to go Carvin and Albert."
